Sandhill Crane (Grus canadensis) is a fairly large bird and can be found throughout western Montana in the summer. Their bird call was recorded during our dawn chorus study , but until now has never been pictured on one of the remote cameras. Sandhill Cranes are known for their elaborate courtship displays and use Montana as their summer breeding grounds.
