Sometimes while walking in the forest we use a whistle to let any predators know that we were there. In one instance we noticed after a few minutes of periodically blowing the whistle, the Gray Jay (Perisoreus canadensis) shown to the right began to mimic the sound and continued to call using the same pitch as the whistle as it followed us around!
